OT Instagram Giveaway July 2025

Terms and conditions as follows:

• The giveaway opens on Wednesday 2 July 2025 and will close on Wednesday 16 July 2025 at 23:59
• All entrants must adhere to the ‘How to enter’ guidelines posted on OT’s giveaway launch post
• The giveaway is open nationally to all members of the optical community in the UK. This includes optometrists, optometry students, pre-reg optometrists and practice team members
• Multiple entries are permitted. Each tag of another Instagram account counts as one entry. Extra attention will be given to those that answer the question in the How to enter guidelines and those that provide interesting comments
• The winner will be selected at random using a randomiser tool
• The giveaway prize is 1x Apple iPad 2021, 10.2 Inch, in Space Grey. There will be only 1x prize for 1x winner for this giveaway
• The prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable and there is no cash alternative
• All entrants accept that OT may use their data in order to contact them in relation to the giveaway
• All employees, including family members, of the Association of Optometrists, OT and regular contributors of OT are excluded from winning the giveaway prize. This also includes individuals that currently hold positions as AOP student representatives or AOP Councillors
• OT takes no responsibility for loss, delay or damage incurred as a result of entering this giveaway
• OT is not responsible for any technical issues (or other) that impede an entrants’ entry being submitted correctly and/or in full by the deadline stated
• OT is not responsible for any changes in Instagram profiles or additional information at the time of entering the giveaway
• Under no circumstances will OT be held liable for any information relating to the giveaway which is accessed via third party websites or homepages that do not coincide with the original information or terms and conditions
• In the event of spam or fake account arising due to the giveaways, OT is not responsible for the fake accounts actions. If encountered, OT will report fake accounts directly to Instagram
• The winner will be contacted and announced within one week of the closing date
• If the winner fails to respond within two working days of the first notification, the winner will forfeit their right to claim the prize and a new winner will be selected at random
• OT is not be responsible for incorrect data entry when participating in the giveaway
• If the winner is unable to claim the prize for any reason, OT reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner. OT will not be liable to reimburse the first winner with any prize in any capacity
• OT willnot accept any responsibility for any liabilities, damage, disappointment, injury, death or loss incurred as a result of participating in the giveaway or accepting the prize. OT will only engage in liabilities that are not exempt by law and will only be limited to the minimum permissible by law
• OT reserves the right to cancel or modify the terms of the giveaway without any notice
• The giveaway is not affiliated or sponsored by Instagram in any capacity
• The organiser of the giveaway is OT.
