AOP Councillors share reasons to visit 100% Optical

A range of exhibitors and an extensive CET programme at the show are the point of difference for AOP Councillors

AOP Councillors have shared their reasons for attending 100% Optical ahead of the show’s fifth year in January (27–29).

Taking place at ExCeL London, 100% Optical will feature exhibitors from eyewear, equipment and contact lens brands, as well as a CET-accredited education programme that is organised and delivered by the AOP.

Independent optometrist Francesca Marchetti explained to OT that the reason she keeps going back to 100% Optical is because it’s different from other trade shows.

“It’s quirky, it’s trendy, it’s vibrant and it’s got loads of little suppliers that you just don’t really see elsewhere,” she said.

The AOP’s clinical director, Dr Peter Hampson (pictured), shared that the show’s CET programme allows attendees to keep pace with the rate of change in the sector and the changing role of optometry.

“The education package that’s delivered at 100% Optical means that you can try and stay on top of that and rather than be behind the curve, try to get ahead of it a little bit,” he said.

For James Dawson from Stephen John Eyecare, 100% Optical is an opportunity to meet new people and catch up with old friends too.
