OT  and Media 10 instagram giveaway January 2024

Terms and conditions as follows:

1. The giveaway opens on Wednesday 24 January 2024 and will close on Wednesday 7 February 2024 at 23:59
2. The giveaway will be hosted by OT in partnership with Media 10 organisers of the optical event, 100% Optical
3. The giveaway will be posted as an Instagram collaboration on both OT’s Instagram page @optometry_today and Media 10’s 100% Optical Instagram page @100Optical
4. All entrants must adhere to the ‘How to enter’ guidelines posted on OT’s giveaway launch post
5. The giveaway is open nationally and internationally to all members of the optical community. This includes optometrists, optometry students, pre-reg optometrists and practice team members
6. Delegates must arrange and cover the costs of their travel to the event. Travel costs are not included in the prize
7. Multiple entries are permitted. Each tag of another Instagram account counts as one entry
8. The winner will be selected at random using a randomiser tool
9. The giveaway prize is for one double room only for one night accommodation on Saturday 24 February 2024 at Novotel Excel, London. VIP access will include a VIP show badge with entry to the show’s media lounge for refreshments during the show and tokens to use at the Saturday Central bar celebrations. If the winner invites a plus one, they will be required to share the double room. The plus one will also receive a VIP show pass and tokens
10. The prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable and there is no cash alternative
11. All entrants accept that Media 10 and OT may use their data in order to contact them in relation to the giveaway
12. All employees, including family members, of Media 10, the Association of Optometrists, OT and regular contributors of OT are excluded from winning the giveaway prize. This also includes individuals that currently hold positions as AOP student representatives or AOP Councillors
13. OT and Media 10 take no responsibility for loss, delay or damage incurred as a result of entering this giveaway
14. OT and Media 10 are not responsible for any technical issues (or other) that impede an entrants’ entry being submitted correctly and/or in full by the deadline stated
15. OT and Media 10 are not responsible for any changes in Instagram profiles or additional information at the time of entering the giveaway
16. Under no circumstances will OT and Media 10 be held liable for any information relating to the giveaway which is accessed via third party websites or homepages that do not coincide with the original information or terms and conditions
17. In the event of spam or fake account arising due to the giveaway, OT and Media 10 are not responsible for their actions. If encountered, OT will report fake or spam accounts directly to Instagram
18. The winner will be contacted and announced within one week of the closing date
19. If the winner fails to respond within two working days of the first notification, the winner will forfeit their right to claim the prize and a new winner will be selected at random
20. OT and Media 10 will not be responsible for incorrect data entry when participating in the giveaway
21. If the winner is unable to claim the prize for any reason, OT and Media 10 reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner. OT and Media 10 will not be liable to reimburse the first winner with any prize in any capacity
22. OT and Media 10 do not accept any responsibility for any liabilities, damage, disappointment, injury, death or loss incurred as a result of participating in the giveaway or accepting the prize. OT and Media 10 will only engage in liabilities that are not exempt by law and will only be limited to the minimum permissible by law
23. OT and Media 10 reserves the right to cancel or modify the terms of the giveaway without any notice
24. The giveaway is not affiliated or sponsored by Instagram in any capacity
25. The organiser of the giveaway is OT. All complaints in relation to the giveaway should be emailed to [email protected] and contact will be made within five working days.
