Seventh Haag-Streit Slit Lamp Imaging Competition opens
The company has invited “anyone with a passion for slit lamp imaging” to participate
10 April 2025
Haag-Streit UK has opened its seventh annual Haag-Streit Slit Lamp Imaging Competition.
The international competition, which is open to all, invites participants to submit outstanding slit lamp images and videos, spanning all eye care conditions.
Co-founder of the competition and former judge, Frank Wenger, head of product management general diagnostics, said: “Since its launch in 2019, the Haag-Streit Slit Lamp Imaging Competition has changed the way we look at ophthalmic imaging. By elevating the slit lamp camera into an innovation platform, the contest allows us to celebrate content that isn’t only medically valuable but also an artistic expression.”
Wenger continued: “As slit lamp technology evolves at pace, we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible – making 2025 a very exciting time for our contestants.”
A panel of judges will evaluate the quality, technical execution, and pathological interest of the entries.
This year’s panel includes Marc Curchod, Jesús Conejero, and Jacqui Kenyon. They will be joined for the first time by Cynthia VandenHoven, a medical imaging specialist, and Marcel Meyer from Haag-Streit.
Inviting “anyone with a passion for slit lamp imaging to tell a story through a great shot or a compelling video,” Wenger said: “We eagerly anticipate another year of outstanding submissions.”
The competition is open until 1 August 2025, with full information available on the competition page.
Winners will be announced on 1 October 2025 through social media.
