BIB Ophthalmic Instruments has named the winner of its Optopol optical coherence tomography (OCT) device prize draw.

David and Brian Gleave, a father and son team from Hepworth and Hall Opticians in Manchester, will receive a free Optopol Revo FC OCT.

David Gleave described the initial “shock” at being named winners of the prize draw, adding: “We were delighted to win the Optopol Revo FC OCT.”

“It was especially pleasing as, in touch economic times, this has now enabled us to invest in a second Revo OCT for both our practices – Hepworth and Hall as well as Atherton and Pemberton – both of which now have state-of-the-art equipment,” he said.

“This will enable us to provide a thorough eye exam for all our patients and better serve our local community,” Gleave added.

The prize draw launched at 100% Optical in February 2024 and was funded jointly by BIB Ophthalmic Instruments and Optopol Technologies.
