New smaller capsule preparation launched for Macushield Gold
All-in-one formulation released
21 October 2015
A new, smaller capsule has been launched for Macushield Gold, the supplement formulation fortified with meso-zeaxanthin, which is aimed at slowing the progression of macular degeneration.
The new version brings together the previous combination supplement into a single, smaller ‘all-in-one’ capsule, which is taken three times a day.
Macushield Gold has been developed by international experts in eye health to make it easier for people to take, especially the elderly, for maintaining healthy vision.
The specific nutrient combination of Macushield Gold has a formulation recommended in the second Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS2).
In addition, research published in peer-reviewed eye journals has shown that a supplement containing all three macular carotenoids, lutein, zeaxanthin and meso-zeaxanthin can enrich the protective macular pigment which acts as the body's natural, protective filter for the macula.
