New York-based eyewear label Illesteva has partnered with the Michael Jackson Estate to launch a limited-edition sunglass style for Summer 2017.
The design is inspired by the iconic sunglasses worn by Michael Jackson during his 1984 Victory Tour and celebrates the 35th anniversary of the world’s best-selling album, Thriller.
The aviator style frame was created using a single sheet lens, features a gold mirrored face and is accented with lightweight gold temples. As a special finishing touch, all of the sunglasses are engraved with Jackson’s signature.
According to the company, the limited release offers 200 numbered frames commemorating the King of Pop.
CEO of Illesteva, Daniel Silberman, commented: “Michael Jackson was and is an icon. It’s an honor to have been approached by his team and to work with his estate. We are excited for the launch.”
