Dunelm Optical has doubled its lens production capacity and is highlighting to independent practitioners that it has the ability to produce the most technical lenses.

Following 12 months’ planning and an investment of over £300,000, the latest free-form surfacing and glazing equipment has been installed at the company.

Dunelm Optical managing director, Peter Beaumont, said: “Our company is focused on providing the highest-quality products with the best customer service. This additional investment allows us to provide an even higher level of service to independent opticians, with a 24-hour turnaround on frames and lenses in over 90% of cases.”

The company is emphasising that it offers a full one-stop service with a wide range of frames and lenses that can be glazed and delivered complete. Mr Beaumont said that this provides independent opticians with more competitive prices and the fastest possible turnaround.

Dunelm Optical also offers opticians a wide range of surfaced uncut lenses, including freeform, for their own in-house laboratories. This speeds up the production process and delivers improvements in quality.

All lens orders are hand finished and go through a multi-stage quality check so that accuracy is guaranteed.

Orders are backed by a 100% money back, no-quibble guarantee so that if a customer is not satisfied with their order, Dunelm Optical will refund or replace it at no cost.

The company supplies all major brands of lenses and offers an extensive range of materials and indices. It is highlighting that its own Spectre range of free-form progressive lenses deliver ‘massive’ savings against comparable alternatives.
