Dr Sayantan Biswas BSc MPhil PhD SFHEA

Dr Sayantan Biswas is a lecturer in optometry at Aston University, where he serves as the module leader for clinical practice development and systemic disease. He completed his PhD at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, focusing on the evaluation of glaucoma in eyes with myopia. His postdoctoral training was conducted at the Singapore Eye Research Institute, where he worked with animal models of myopia. Sayantan is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK and has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles. His research focuses on the therapeutic effects of light in myopia management and the relationship between myopia and glaucoma
