Webinar 2: First fit success with soft multifocal contact lenses
With the ever-expanding range of multifocal soft contact lenses available, it can be difficult to know which option to choose. This session will explore the key design and material properties that differentiate multifocal soft contact lenses from one another. Combining this knowledge with a thorough assessment of anterior eye health, careful consideration of each patient’s prescription, and appropriate use of manufacturers’ fitting guides, can help achieve successful first-fit outcomes.
Learning outcomes
- Delegates will recognise the importance of fully understanding their patient’s visual and lifestyle needs to recommend the best contact lens and set realistic expectations, to ensure long-term successful wear (s.1)
- Delegates will recognise how important it is to stay on top of developments in contact lens material properties and design to meet the needs of their presbyopes and presbyopic astigmats on an ongoing basis (s.5).
