The College of Optometrists welcomed over 780 attendees to Optometry Tomorrow, its annual conference and AGM, which took place on 18–19 March.

Based at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, the event featured lectures, seminars and discussion workshops, with up to 16 interactive CET points available.

Topics such as age-related macular degeneration, dry eye disease and myopia control were all on the agenda. 

Speakers included CEO of Peek Vision, Dr Andrew Bastawrous (pictured), who told delegates about providing wider access to eye care. 

“The optometry sector is critical in bring better vision and health to everyone worldwide,” Mr Bastawrous said. 

The conference also featured a trade exhibition with over 30 exhibitors, including Topcon, CooperVision and Zeiss UK. 

Optometry Tomorrow 2019 will take place on 24–25 February 2019 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.
