Jai Kudo has introduced a new progressive lens design to its portfolio.

The Signature lens builds on concepts seen in the bespoke Kudos progressive lenses, combining these features with a streamlined design in order to deliver visual comfort and clarity tailored to a wide range of wearers, the company said.

James Conway, CEO of Jai Kudo, said: “Signature has been created for practices who want to offer patients a progressive lens with advanced performance, but in a simplified form.”

“It’s designed to be easy to dispense, while giving wearers the benefits of some of our most innovative technologies,” he added.

Features of the lens design include binocular balancing for natural, comfortable vision and reduced edge blur, as well as ergonomic auto corridor to support smooth adaptation.

Digital profiling is used for accuracy, while position of wear compensation reflects real-life fitting conditions, the company said, and lens simulation is used to refine the design before production.

The lens design achieves up to a 20% reduction in oblique astigmatism, the company shared, and offers precision in all gaze directions, including a natural reading zone.
