Optometrists and dispensing opticians will be able to hear about the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in transforming eye care in a free CPD-accredited webinar on 10 September.
Supported by Ocuco, The Light Bulb Moment: Unlocking the Power of AI in Vision Care, will be led by Kishan Devraj, optometrist and honorary clinical research fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Devraj will explore how AI-driven innovations are transforming optical care from advanced diagnostic tools supporting earlier detection and treatment, to how healthcare professionals adopt these technologies.
The webinar intends to provide eye care professionals with a clearer understanding of what AI can do for them now, how it will affect the profession in the near future, and the obstacles that need to be addressed for successful adoption.
Attendees will gain insight into the current AI applications in optometry and ophthalmology, guidelines around the use of AI in clinical practice, and challenges and opportunities in adopting AI-driven tools.
The webinar will also consider how AI is set to reshape the day-to-day of eye care professionals.
The webinar is accredited for one CPD point for optometrists and dispensing opticians.
