CPD event to be held at University of Huddersfield

The University Valli Annual Conference will be held at the University of Huddersfield on Sunday, 7 September.

Registration is open for the third annual event, with up to 15 CPD points available on the day across a range of topics including advances in myopia management, optical coherence tomography interpretation, and innovations in intraocular lens design.

More than 110 delegates attended last year’s University Valli Annual Conference. The event is a joint venture between the University of Huddersfield and Valli Optometry and Audiology.

As well as lectures, interactive workshops and peer review sessions, a range of exhibitors will be present at the event – including industry sponsors HOYA Lens UK, Optegra, Bausch & Lomb, and Topcon.

Valli Optometry and Audiology chief executive officer, Moin Valli, highlighted that the event is a strong example of collaboration between higher education and community practice.

“Our mission is to deliver exceptional CPD opportunities in a vibrant setting, while also strengthening the professional community. With unique Peer Review sessions and a programme shaped by leading experts, this year’s event promises to be the biggest and best yet,” he said.
