NEG signs exclusive deal with Charmant
The agreement will see Charmant eyewear collections return to the UK and Northern Ireland exclusively for members of the purchasing group
03 October 2024
The National Eyecare Group (NEG) and Charmant have formed an exclusive partnership agreement which will see supply of frames and sunglasses from the eyewear manufacturer return to the UK and Northern Ireland.
Charmant Group closed its UK operations at the end of June this year, stating that the decision followed a “lengthy and substantial review process taking into account multiple factors of supplying the UK market.”
The new agreement, which took effect on 1 October, means Charmant eyewear will be available exclusively to members of NEG – a purchasing group supporting UK independent practices.
Collections available to NEG members will include Charmant, Line Art, Elle, Aristar, Minamoto, Ad Lib, and Esprit.
Chris Beal, chief operating officer and executive vice president of Charmant Europe, said: “We are very excited about this partnership. Having worked with National Eyecare Group for many years in the past it makes absolute sense to join forces, and it will be a welcome return for our brands in the UK and Northern Ireland independent optical market.”
Members of NEG will be contacted with details of how to place orders.
Phil Mullins, managing director of NEG, said: “Charmant frames have been very popular with our members for many years, so it is fantastic that we are able to relaunch our partnership with Charmant, enabling our members to benefit from Charmant’s great products on this exclusive basis.”
Any queries in the meantime should be directed to Charmant’s support email or National Eyecare Group.
