EssilorLuxottica launches promotion for Italy event

Running from 1 September to the end of February 2025, practices who earn the most points will win a place at an event for eye care professionals in Italy

EssilorLuxottica has launched a new promotion offering its optometry business partners a chance to win a place at a special event in Italy.

Launched on 1 September and running to the end of February 2025, the initiative will see eye care professionals (ECPs) earning points on orders placed for lenses, frames, and instruments over the next six months.

Those who collect the most points will qualify for one of 120 places on an EssilorLuxottica event in Italy, which will include a half-day business meeting, along with a mixture of excursions and activities, as well as free time to enjoy the area.

The promotion includes Transitions Gen S and new 2024 frame brands including Jimmy Choo, Ferrari Scuderia, Ferraari Cavallino, Brunello Cucinelli, and Swarovski.

Alan Pitcher, commercial director for wholesale lenses at EssilorLuxottica, said: “Our brand portfolio has never been more exciting with a diverse product mix, providing plenty of opportunities to boost points to secure a place.”

EssilorLuxottica outlined six ways to qualify:

  • The top 10 practices with the highest points accumulation win two places
  • The top 10 practices with the highest Varilux and Eyezen personalised points win two places
  • The top 10 practices with the highest frames points accumulation on all brands win two places
  • The top 10 practices with the highest Transitions points accumulation win two places
  • The top 10 practices with the highest new frame brand points accumulation win two places
  • The next 10 practices with the highest points accumulation overall win one free place and the opportunity to buy an additional place at a subsidised cost.
