Specsavers has been named as one of The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers for the first time.
The multiple was the only optical group to be included on the list, placing at number 78.
The list highlights the best graduate employers in the UK, based on the perceptions of recent graduates.
Editor of The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers, Martin Birchall, called Specsavers’ inclusion an ‘impressive achievement’ and pointed out that it is one of the year’s highest placed new entries.
He called the company’s graduate programme ‘amongst the most attractive and sought-after in the country for aspiring university-leavers.’
Alana Inness, head of talent and resourcing at Specsavers, said: “It underlines the huge variety of careers on offer at Specsavers, be it in its stores or support offices - working with partners to provide the best value optometry, audiology and other healthcare services to customers.”
She added: “We don’t just find new talent, though - we nurture it, and many of our previous graduates are now in leadership positions. They’ve often had careers that span the UK and our international operations.”
The list was based on research carried out by High Fliers Research, which interviewed 12,432 university leavers in the summer of 2022.
