Caseco to move to carbon neutral site
Caseco will relocate to the UK’s first Passivhaus Plus co-working space in a move that reflects the business’ desire to minimise its impact on the planet
30 August 2022
Spectacle case and accessories supplier, Caseco, has revealed plans to relocate to The Eco Business Centre in Bicester, a carbon neutral site.
The centre is the UK’s first non-residential Passivhaus Plus co-working space. Passivhaus is an international design standard aiming to cut energy use from buildings. The UK site is also certified BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) ‘Outstanding.’
Caseco has been based in Staplehurst, in Kent, for 25 years. Commenting on the decision to relocate, Julian Clarke, Caseco managing director, said: “For many people, the pandemic amplified an appreciation for our planet. Our move to the Eco Business Centre satisfies our heartfelt desire to minimise our impact on the environment.”
“At our heart we’re a creative, design-led company who provide innovative products that enhance patient experiences,” Clarke said, adding, “We’re convinced our new environment will further inspire our creativity and innovation.”
The company will be holding a warehouse clearance sale in Kent during September. Optical professionals can book a time to review the products online.
Caseco serves more than 700 opticians and non-optical businesses across the UK and internationally.
