De Rigo signs license agreement with Mulberry

A range of sunglasses and spectacles will be released in spring/summer 2019

De Rigo has signed a license agreement with Mulberry to manufacture and distribute eyewear for the British fashion brand.

The launch of the new collection is planned for spring/summer 2019 and will be distributed across Mulberry shops, its website and in select wholesale and optical stores.

CEO of Mulberry, Thierry Andretta, explained that its eyewear range will be designed by a Mulberry team led by creative director, Johnny Coca, and will include sunglasses and spectacles.

“Eyewear is complementary to the brand’s core leather goods offering and is an important category in building the lifestyle image that will help develop Mulberry into a global luxury brand,” Mr Andretta shared. 

Speaking about the collaboration, managing director of De Rigo, Michele Aracri, said: “Mulberry is at an exciting moment in its history and we look to enter this next phase to further develop this distinctive British brand.”
