Essilor Cardiff prize awarded
Second year undergraduate receives an accolade for her dispensing achievements

Second year optometry undergraduate, Josie Carmichael, has been awarded Essilor's 2016 prize for best performance in dispensing.
Ms Carmichael received a £75 book voucher and the textbook History of Art. She is pictured being presented with the prize from Professor Marcela Votruba, head of the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences at Cardiff University.
Speaking about the award, Essilor’s professional relations manager, Andy Hepworth, said: “I have worked closely with Cardiff University for a number of years and their quality of education never fails to impress me. Josie is a very worthy winner of this year’s prize award and I wish her the best of luck for a great future career.”
