SeeAbility names new CE

Chief executive of SeeAbility David Scott-Ralphs will step down after 13 years with the organisation this September. Lisa Hopkins has been appointed to the position.

Under Mr Scott-Ralph’s leadership, SeeAbility has more than doubled its turnover, as well as the number of locations that it operates from. He has also overseen the expansion of the charity’s accommodation and support services across the south of England.

Speaking about the achievements, chairman of trustees for SeeAbility, James Deeley, said: “SeeAbility has flourished under David’s leadership and I would like to thank him on behalf of the whole organisation for his tremendous efforts and achievements.”

Ms Hopkins joins the charity from the support organisation for learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, Dimensions UK where she is managing director.

Speaking about her new role, Ms Hopkins said: “I am thrilled to be joining an organisation with such a strong values base and track record in excellence of service delivery. SeeAbility’s reach goes far beyond the boundaries of those it supports and extends to valuable work for people throughout the country with sight loss and multiple disabilities.”
