A Milton Keynes independent practice has agreed a merger deal. Lesley Arkin Optometrists, based in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, is being taken over by Davis Optometrists.
The small family-run group has employed a new optometrist and a new dispensing optician to replace retired staff at the practice, which was set up by optometrist Lesley Arkin in 1981.
The Stony Stratford practice has three consulting rooms, a large dispensing area and a room dedicated to the specialism of behavioural optometry.
Davis Optometrists now has six branches across the Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Leicestershire regions.
Explaining the merger, Kim Durden, a director at Davis Optometrists, said: “We have similar beliefs and an equally committed dedication to excellent patient service. Our ethos is a perfect fit for hers, and we feel we can carry Lesley’s excellent work forward into the future. We will continue delivering a seamless service to patients present and new.”
