New role for Optoplast joint chief executive
James Conway joins FMO board
12 August 2015
The joint chief executive of the Optoplast Group, James Conway (pictured), has joined the Federation of Manufacturing Opticians (FMO) board and is hoping to bring a fresh dynamism to the optical trade body.
Mr Conway is the third generation of his family to run the frames and spectacles cases business, Optoplast.
Discussing his new role at the FMO, Mr Conway said: “I am really looking forward to bringing another perspective. As a business, Optoplast is active in manufacturing and wholesaling so I believe I have something to offer in terms of ideas and enthusiasm."
He added: “Optics has changed beyond belief in the time of my family’s optical business and we are keen to embrace developments and seek new opportunities for the sector. I look forward to being involved and in highlighting some issues that we all face.”
