The School of Medicine and Dentistry, within which the vision sciences provision is based, wishes to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Optometry and Ophthalmic Dispensing to support the delivery and continual development of the Vision Sciences educational provision, quality assurance, and assessment of credit and non-credit bearing courses in this area. 

The successful candidate will have experience of teaching in Higher Education alongside a flexible approach to teaching. Registration with the General Optical Council as an Optometrist (minimum 2 year requirement) is essential as well as an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Optometry and a Formal teaching qualification or Fellowship (Descriptor 2) of AdvanceHE.
