Laboratory supervisor promotion at No7 Contact Lenses

New role for Leon Morton who has worked his way up during 17 years at the company

Leon Morton

No7 Contact Lenses has promoted Leon Morton to laboratory supervisor, drawing on his 17 years of experience with the business.

The company highlights that Mr Morton “knows every aspect of the contact lens manufacturing process.” He was previously senior laboratory technician, having worked his way up through all aspects of contact lens manufacturing at the company.

Mr Morton said: “Understanding the different materials, designs, cuts and processes in lenses requires a detailed knowledge. Much has changed in the past 17 years of contact lens manufacturing as a lot used to be manual input, but with high precision technology and automation, we are now providing great consistency in supply.”

He added: “No7’s business has grown four-fold in my time with a greatly enlarged lab, and we are constantly innovating with more sclerals and hand-painted lenses, plus a 20% year-on-year increase in lenses for ortho-k. We have many customers around the world, thanks to a growing reputation.”
