Your views on providing eye care on the High Street

Be a part of our latest Voice of Optometry research

Our latest Voice of Optometry survey has launched, and we need your views on your experiences of providing eye care on the High Street.

Your views in our latest survey, will provide trend data that will advance our long running advocacy work on vision standards for driving and help us present a clear policy ask to government.

The data collected from the survey will also be used to provide an evidence base on the role of optometry in alleviating pressures in other areas of healthcare and improving patient access to vital eye care.

Your participation in the survey will help support the delivery of our external facing campaigns and our asks to government which improve healthcare pathways, commissioning, and innovation for the profession. Your responses, which will always be used anonymously, will help us promote the value of optometry in primary care and the potential to deliver extended services consistently across the UK.

Previous surveys have supported our media activity. Our Sight won’t wait campaign generated high profile coverage in top-tier media targets such as BBC Breakfast, The Guardian, Telegraph, and Independent.

Our Don’t swerve a sight test campaign has regular pick up in national and regional press, with 2023 securing the highest volume of coverage to date.

How do I take part?

A unique link to access the survey has been emailed to all qualified, practising optometrist members from Survey Monkey on 17 October.

The survey should take around four minutes to complete, and you can return to the survey over multiple sessions until 14 November.

If you don’t see our email invitation in your inbox, it’s worth checking your junk folder. If you still can’t find it, please email [email protected].
