The British invasion: Cutler and Gross takes America

Cutler and Gross tells OT  about having “a great synergy with Marchon” following the announcement of its US distribution agreement

The Cutler and Gross agreement with Marchon Eyewear enables the British eyewear company to deliver a fast, personal service to its US customers, according to design director Marie Wilkinson.

Speaking to OT at Silmo, Ms Wilkinson said: “We’ve never really been able to look after America properly.”

She shared that following up with customers and adapting to how US opticians operate did not allow Cutler and Gross to build a business on the other side of the pond.

That has now changed thanks to a distribution agreement with Marchon Eyewear. Cutler and Gross can now fulfil its inner rock star and take America.

Ms Wilkinson said: “It has always been a market that we’ve wanted to conquer. Like a rock band who takes on Europe, you always really want to make it in the US and that’s the rock star in Tony Gross. We have a great synergy with Marchon and they want it as much as we do.”

“To be able to facilitate easy ordering, deliveries and postage is not an issue anymore. It’s going to be virtually seamless,” she added.
