Members invited to take part in the 2020 Voice of Optometry survey

Voice of Optometry
We’ve launched our fourth Voice of Optometry insight survey – inviting members to support our media campaigns in 2020 by sharing their views on important optical issues. Previous surveys have helped generate over 1600 items of coverage – putting eye health and the role of optometrists in the public spotlight.

For the first time, as a thank you to members taking part, the AOP will make a donation to three sight charities – Fight for Sight, Vision Aid Overseas and the Benevolent Fund. The new initiative is based on feedback in a recent member poll and the amount for each will be based on members’ selection - amounting to £250 in total.

Last year over 1000 members took part, allowing the AOP to reach 30 million people using the survey findings through their first national smoking cessation campaign, Stub it out. Coverage highlights included BBC news, Sky News Radio and STV in Scotland.

We need as many responses this year. Links to access the latest survey were emailed to all qualified, practising members from Survey Monkey on Tuesday 28 January. The survey takes no more than 10 minutes to complete.
