Help us promote the profile of optics

Share your views in our new Voice of Optometry survey

Voice of Optometry logo

We’re inviting members to participate in our latest Voice of Optometry survey, and help us promote the work of optometrists in the public eye.

Now in its third year, the survey gives practising optometrist members the opportunity to share their views and experiences to inform the AOP’s public campaigns and raise the profile of optics.

Last year over 1000 members took part, helping us promote optometry and eye health to millions of members of the public. Our 2018 campaigns included our second Don’t Swerve a Sight Test campaign and our campaign on children’s eye health – A B See. Both received national coverage in publications such as The Times, Mail Online, The Telegraph and across BBC News.

How to take part

To take part in the survey, which should take less than 20 minutes, we’re asking members to look out for their Survey Monkey email invitation, first sent to all qualified, practising optometrist members on 12 February. To receive this email, or subsequent reminder emails, members will need to have ‘Voice of Optometry’ ticked in their email preferences. This can be checked by visiting the My Email section of My AOP.

To thank members for sharing their views we’ll be entering all members who complete the survey into a prize draw to win one of three High Street shopping vouchers worth £100, £50 and £25. To be entered all you have to do is complete the survey and tick the box at the end to indicate you’d like to take part in the prize draw. Terms and conditions can be found on our website.
