Jean-François Rey has announced the decision to hand over control of the design house of the same name.

Responsibility for the company now passes jointly to three managers, Walter Pirinoli, Dan Levi and Ralf Kmoch, who are behind Visibilia and Visioptics.

The company suggested the three managers are specialists in the eyewear business and see “great potential in further developing the unique brands and preparing the company for all future challenges.”

They have also emphasised their vision of “maintaining the origins” of the design house.

Jean-François Rey and artistic director, Joëlle Rey, will continue to manage and support the design team, which the company has said will be important for ensuring continuity and maintaining the “iconic” design concepts and colours of the brand.

Honorary president, Jean-François Rey, shared: “I am deeply convinced that the steps undertaken will be the best to keep on writing the success story of the Maison Jean-François Rey. We have developed together in a way that my legacy and contribution will be substantial for the years to come.”

Pirinoli, CEO of the design house, commented: “We feel highly honoured that Joëlle and Jean-François have accepted our proposal, understanding our sincere and professional approach. Therefore we can assure that a cautious evolution, maintaining the core values of the Maison Jean-François Rey is our mission.”
