Eyespace announces licensing partnership with Aspinal of London

A sunglasses collection of 14 exclusive frames for men and women will be available to view at 100% Optical

Eyespace has announced a licensing partnership with British fashion brand, Aspinal of London, that will see the eyewear company provide men’s and women’s sunglasses.

A total of 14 exclusive frames have been designed for the premium Aspinal of London collection. The company’s handbag range has previously been worn by the Duchess of Cambridge (pictured).

Speaking about the partnership, managing director of Eyespace, Jayne Abel, explained that the eyewear company worked in close collaboration with Aspinal of London’s design team.

“Working to the highest standards of quality and care throughout the entire design process, this exclusive new collection highlights the integrity and quality craftsmanship that sits at the heart of Aspinal of London,” she said.

Ms Abel added: “As we continue to strengthen our distribution worldwide, and with the rapid growth in the number of Aspinal of London stores opening globally, sunglasses are the perfect brand extension to allow Aspinal of London to enhance their portfolio and perfectly complement the luxurious leather accessories that are adored by their fanbase around the world.”

The collection has been made with hand-polished acetate and includes a selection of colours that “translate the Aspinal of London brand philosophy,” Eyespace shared.

Aspinal of London’s shield will feature either on the inner side trim, hinge or as cutwork on the tips.

Practitioners will be able to view the sunglasses collection at 100% Optical, which takes place at ExCeL London on 12–14 January, before a spectacles range is launched in spring/summer 2019.
