Komono has appointed two new members to its management team and updated it business models in European markets in order to ensure growth across the next 10 years.

Charlotte Arts joins the Belgian eyewear company as creative director and Michael Arts has been appointed as commercial specialist.

Ms Arts has previously held roles as commercial director at fashion brand, Raf Simons, and as studio director at Willy Vanderperre. In her new role, she will oversee all creative output for the brand.

Mr Arts will focus on all commercial matters at Komono, bringing experience as sales manager for Europe at Polo Ralph Lauren, executive vice president at Tommy Hilfiger and, most recently, as executive vice president at PVH Corporation, which owns brands such as Calvin Klein.

Komono has also renewed its partnership with Sample & Supply in France, with a relationship change from a distributor to agent model. The eyewear company anticipates further growth in the French market with increased investment in marketing and merchandising.

In Germany, Komono has opted to bring its business activities in-house. This will be handled by a dedicated sales team led by Max Morgenstern, who previously worked as a sales representative for the eyewear company.

Italian lifestyle company Slam Jam will now handle Komono’s distribution in Italy, taking over all business activities for the eyewear brand.
