Eyewear brand launches new glasses inspired by the Mediterranean island Capri

L.G.R Capri Collection Eyewear

Following the success of the first edition, L.G.R Eyewear has updated its Capri collection with new frames for the summer.

Drawing inspiration from the atmosphere, colours and lifestyle of the island, the capsule collection has been expanded with two new models, ‘Orchid’ and ‘Bouganville’.

‘Orchid’ has a cat-eye shape with sharp lines that are softened by the use of cellular acetate in the frame, which the company describes as “charming and assertive at the same time.”

'Bouganville,' also made of acetate, has softer lines and extra-large lenses, for an elegant and sophisticated look.

The colour palette has been expanded with the introduction of the limoncello colour, which is named after the liqueur made out of citrus fruits from the Mediterranean region.

Other available colours include acquamarina, a tone inspired by the shades of the Blue Grotto and Lavanda, which represents the bougainvillea flower that grows on the island, as well as light pink and cappuccino.

Describing the inspiration behind the collection, the company said: “Whether you enjoy a boat trip to the Faraglioni, a coffee in the Piazzetta or a walk through the alleys full of flowers, the models of the Capri collection will bring the glamour and style of the Italian holidays of the 1950s anywhere you go.”
