New York and Sydney based eyewear brands collaborate on frames

Eyewear brands Staerk & Chistensen and Pared Eyewear have partnered to launch a new eyewear collection for summer 2018.

New York-based Staerk & Chistensen brand designers, Camilla Staerk and Helena Christensen, joined forces after discovering their shared love of their homeland Denmark and childhood memories of the swallow bird.

Following on from a meeting with Pared Eyewear creative director, Samantha Stevenson, the companies decided to extend their accessories and apparel line, collaborating on three new frames.

The frames include subtly oversized shapes and feature the swallow bird in gold detailing in three different variations of flight.

The designs are described by Ms Stevenson as having a “sensual organic feel with a poetic encounter between the classic and the modern.”

The frames are available in a range of colour from bones, taupes and blush pink to black and dark tortoise, with accents of gold metal on all frames. The lenses are tonal and feature vintage light-washes of rose, tan and gradient greys and browns.

A 24-carat gold mirror lens features as a hero piece across the collection and each frame comes with an optional delicate signature chain.
