Louise Brunton steps down from the global eyewear company

The Charmant Group’s general manager in the UK, Louise Brunton, will retire from her position on 31 March this year after 20 years with the company.

Reflecting on her time with the global eyewear manufacturer, Ms Brunton said she had very much enjoyed working for Charmant. “ I have met many wonderful people during my time with the group, and I’m happy to be handing over the reins to a new management team who will be building on the great business base that we have here at Charmant, whilst carrying on our traditions of service and quality excellence.”

The company has confirmed that Chris Beal (pictured) will join in the role of vice-president for the UK & Ireland on 1 March and will have overall responsibility for sales and marketing.

Mr Beal has more than 20 years senior management experience, covering design, manufacturing, wholesale and retail, as well as sales and marketing. In the last six years he has worked within optics.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Beal said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Charmant Group at this exciting time for both the company and the optical industry as a whole. With our global operation, incredible heritage and commitment to future development, we have an amazing platform from which to implement our new growth strategy.”
