Formula-E driver is the face for 2016 eyewear campaign

International Eyewear celebrates successful collaboration between TITANflex Eyewear and Audi Sport ABT Formula-E Team

International Eyewear has launched its 2016 men’s frames in TITANflex eyewear. The brand is the technical partner of the Audi Sport ABT Formula-E Team.

The success of 2015’s Formula-E campaign has led to one of the drivers, Daniel Abt, becoming the new face for the eyewear’s 2016 marketing initiative. He is pictured wearing the new TITANflex ‘820687’ frame.

Formula-E is an innovative racing series in which electric cars compete on street circuits to win racing accolades. The partnership between the eyewear brand and the racing stable encompasses not only supplying the team with athletic and flexible TITANflex memory-metal spectacles, but also involves a long-term mutual exchange of innovation.

Last year’s inventive collaboration led to the creation of new frames, including TITANflex ‘820687,’ which features the material Ultem.

Ultem has a high temperature resistance, along with a high breakage tolerance which has aided the production of slim, sleek eye rims fixed with an inline metal profile.

The new frame is offered in the masculine colours of ‘matt anthracite’ and ‘matt dark blue.’

TITANflex is split into brand aligned segments –‘Urban,’ ‘Pure,’ ‘Lightstyle,’ ‘Crush’ and ‘Selection’ – with the aim of offering a technical frame solution “for every man” according to International Eyewear.

The five new high-tech frames are said to impart the wearer with a hybrid mix of cutting edge technology, coupled with comfort and style.

An addition to the ‘Pure’ segment for 2016 is TITANflex ‘820698,’ which features a fine-grained wood effect on the sides.

The men’s full rim combination frame is equipped with a modern Performance Design Technology (PDT) bridge and a solid hinge. The frame is offered in the two eye sizes of 54mm and 56mm, and in two popular colours for men – matt black and matt blue.
