Charmant UK has launched the new optical collection in the Parisian brand, Elle. The six new designs draw inspiration from ‘the purity of minimalism and fluid forms dominating Paris catwalks.’
The trend has been interpreted in the new ophthalmic frames which feature clean, flowing lines. A melange of autumn colours is combined with traces of gold and silver for added sophistication.
Every frame has been designed to be easily worn with formal or casual attire. Some of the new styles are extremely lightweight for added wearing comfort.
Elle Eyewear has reinvented the iconic Havana look with the new acetate frame ‘EL13393,’ which mixes soft curves with an edgy, yet feminine, modern front.
Autumn colours in brown, burgundy and red adorn the frame sides and there is a classic black and white version of the new design. The new style features silver or golden detailing, for added elegance, which has been inspired by the fold of a dress.
Model ‘EL13392’ is an acetate and metal combination supra frame which comes in two sizes, 49mm and 52mm. It is offered in the warm colours brown, gold and wine.
On ‘EL13398’ a transparent front in muted brown, red, turquoise and purple meets a solid colour side revealing an exclusive Elle typographic pattern on the inside. There is also a classic black version. The light and modern frame is made of TR90 material, which is very comfortable to wear.
Charmant UK general manager, Louise Brunton, told OT: “The Elle brand has a long history in the world of fashion and continues to inspire. Design inspiration this autumn come from a return to simple elegance with a modernist edge. Charmant has released six new models in a range of autumnal colours, including berry tones. Model ‘EL13392’ is already proving to be very popular.”
The new metal frame ‘EL13400’ features a slightly oversize front with thin rims and straight sides. It is offered in the colour combinations of black/purple, brown/blue, purple/rose and red/beige.
Slender frame ‘EL13401’ is a delicate metal creation with a contemporary deep front and soft curves. A striking elongated cutout detail on the sides reveals a contrasting inner colour. Combinations include black/blue, brown/coral, gold/black and violet/rose.
Ms Brunton concluded: “This year is Elle’s 70th anniversary and Charmant has celebrated with a range for themed window displays. The response to this campaign has been wonderful and optical stores throughout the country have joined in, celebrating 70 years of style by partaking wholeheartedly in this initiative.”
