Capturing the spirit of carnival

For the new collection of seven styles, the Nomad designer wanted to emphasise the festival aspects of the range’s namesake city, with its carnival, its colours and its blend of styles and cultures as the inspirations.

The handcrafted acetate fronts of the frames in contemporary shapes are enlivened by arms in fluorescent colours such as green, pink, yellow, orange and blue.

Contrasting combinations include plum with white, tortoiseshell with lemon yellow, black with green, purple with fluorescent orange and anthracite grey with turquoise blue, for a vibrant and eccentric feel echoed by the carnival marketing materials.

Fitted with a double-action spring-hinge for improved wearing comfort, all of the new frames are ‘progressive lens friendly,’ according to the company.
