Birth of first grandchild inspires new colours
13 February 2015
‘Pastels’ features a selection of three new colours, inspired by the birth of the artist’s first grandchild. Ms Fürst drove home from the hospital in a state of euphoria after the birth and painted the entire new collection before dawn the next day.
The other new range, ‘Precious Metals’ features applications of gold and silver leaf making each frame “truly unique.”
The company Omneco, which exhibited at 100% Optical last weekend, was originally founded in 2006 after director, Helena Finden-Browne, discovered Ronit Fürst eyewear on a visit to New York.
The range was conceived by Ms Fürst, a renowned ceramicist, who decided to design her own colourful eyewear after becoming bored with conventional eyewear.
Having spent almost 20 years designing and exhibiting ceramic sculpture before moving into eyewear, Ms Fürst’s creations reflect her unique style as an artist.
The Ronit Fürst frames are designed to look different from every angle, with fine detail and tiny embellishments, graduated colour schemes and asymmetric designs.
The ethos of the range is to create quirky, individual styles, which capture the wearer’s personality.
The whole range of frames can be viewed online at Ronit Furst or for more information call Ms Finden-Browne on 01483 767209 or email [email protected]
