Sharp shapes and simplistic contours dominate the new ranges, with high joint plastic and lighter weight metal styles filtering into the latest collections.
The new Retro range has a number of cat’s eye styles, from the more dramatic to softer, shallower shapes for everyday wear. Combinations of plastic fronts and metal sides are also prominent.
Femininity oozes through the new ranges in colour combinations of red, purple, burgundy, pinks and lilacs, as well as teals and browns and pastel metallics.
Transparent silver grey acetate frames are also introduced this season in Janet Reger, Paul Costelloe and Chantelle, marking a clear colour trend for 2015. The colour was chosen for its flattering, contemporary properties.
Detailing this season remains subtle, with floral embellishments, geometric patterns, precious stones and intricate lace surface prints all featuring.
The next major women’s frames release is Janet Reger, which will be unveiled at Optrafair in April.
