Optometry Today 's practice team guide for success

A free supplement and online content have been launched by Optometry Today 's, in partnership with Johnson & Johnson Vision

Optometry Today (OT) has created a free printed guide and supporting online content for members of the Association of Optometrists and subscribers, which is designed to support the practice team.

In partnership with Johnson & Johnson Vision, the Practice team guide: the perfect fit has been created with the practice owner ‘community’ in mind and addresses the key training needs of the practice team.

Topics covered within the guide include a whistle-stop tour of making optometry practices welcoming to children, social media guidance, contact lens trends post-pandemic and how to assist patients with sight loss in practice.

Selina Powell, OT’s supplement editor, said: “This guide has been developed to support the teams that work so hard to look after their local communities. From receptionists to optical assistants, dispensing opticians and optometrists. Every staff member has a role to play in delivering excellent eye care – which is why the guide covers wide ranging topics – from looking after social media to looking after young patients or those with sight loss.

Content in the guide, which is the first in a two-part series with Johnson & Johnson Vision, was published in OT’s April/May edition on 9 April alongside the journal’s new online supplement hub. The second part will feature in OT's October/November edition.
