Now 10 months on from the brand’s initial launch, at 100% Optical 2022, Good Karma Eyewear returned to ExCeL London for this year’s event and gave OT an update on how the past year has gone.

Lisa Laurent, the eyewear brand’s founder, said: “It’s been really exciting. We’ve opened lots of new accounts, and we’ve got lots of reps on board.”

She told OT that 100% Optical 2023 marked the launch of Good Karma’s first men’s collection – something that was “touch and go” as the frames had only been delivered the day before the show opened.

After the last-minute rush, the new collection went down well with 100% Optical attendees. Laurent said: “They have been received really well. We’re really excited.”

For the men’s collection, she said, “we tried to do slightly different shapes. We used the women’s for colour inspiration, but in a more subtle way – although, there are a few bright ones in there.”

A selection of 12 new frames have also been added to Good Karma’s women's collection, offering “more choice and more sizes,” Laurent said.

Good Karma continues to work with Women Supporting Women, part of the Prince’s Trust, donating a pound from the sale of every women’s frame to the charity.

The company is currently discussing what charitable route to take with its men’s frames, Laurent said.
