Marcolin has announced a key leadership change in the UK and Nordic markets, appointing Stephan Hinkerode to the role of head of UK, Nordics & DACH (comprising Austria, Germany and Switzerland).

Hinerode is currently the general manager of Marcolin Deutschland, which he has led since 2016. On his appointment, the company commented that Hinkerode has a “strong background in the eyewear industry, including past responsibility for the development of prestigious luxury brands in the segment.”

The eyewear company suggests the new leadership structure will strengthen its presence in the UK and Scandinavian markets, as well as the DACH region, and would create “new synergies” between the markets.

“The individual markets will maintain their current local reference points and offices in London, Stockholm and Cologne for continuity and an efficient operative business,” the company explained.

Marcolin’s global network consists of 14 subsidiaries worldwide and distributes its products in more than 125 countries.
