Cutler and Gross and Paul Smith will launch a limited-edition pair of sunglasses during the designer’s show at Paris Fashion Week (24 June).

The collaboration includes a single acetate frame that is available in eight colour options, which are inspired by the Paul Smith spring/summer 2019 collection.

Limited to 500 units, each unisex frame will be individually numbered and feature Cutler and Gross and Paul Smith co-branding.

Creative director of Cutler and Gross, Marie Wilkinson, said: The Cutler and Gross and Paul Smith frame has been designed to symbolise the meeting of both brands’ DNA, based on the same love of handcrafted, thoughtful design.”

Available instantly after the show, the frames will be available online from the Paul Smith website and selected Cutler and Gross and Paul Smith shops.

Speaking about the collaboration, Paul Smith explained that he has always had “enormous admiration” for Cutler and Gross.

“Before we sadly lost him this year, Tony Gross was a personal friend of mine. The attention to detail and expertise that Tony practiced is still absolutely central to the work the company are doing today. It’s been a joy to collaborate with them,” he shared.
