New sunglasses from Maison Mavada have been made by Japanese craftsmen
14 December 2017
Maison Mavada has launched its debut eyewear collection, which has been created with the Japanese design philosophy of Kanketsu in mind.
The Kanketsu process aims for true simplicity and has a heritage of hand craftsmanship that spans decades, the luxury eyewear brand explained.
Maison Mavada partnered with Japanese craftsmen to produce the sunglasses collection, which has been made using titanium and plated in 18 and 24 carat gold.
The men’s collection features styles such as ‘Cilense,’ which is available with matte black and gold frames and brown gradient lenses. The women’s collection includes ‘Roud,’ which is available in frame colours such as black and gold, with brown gradient lenses.
The frames have been designed “for a worldly clientele embracing modern luxury today,” the company said.
