Eyespace to debut its first prescription sunwear collections
British eyewear company Eyespace is preparing to debut its first major prescription sunwear collections, under its flagship Cocoa Mint and Jensen brands.

Timed to refresh practice stock offerings in the New Year, the premier ranges will launch 18 new sunglass styles each in January but are available to pre-order now.

The new collections for women in Cocoa Mint and men in Jensen have been developed in conjunction with future trend forecasts and targeted market research with Eyespace’s customers.
Eyespace managing director, Jayne Abel, told OT: “We are very proud to announce the launch of our much-anticipated Cocoa Mint and Jensen prescriptive sunglasses.
“These collections have been two years in the making, giving our design team the unique opportunity to put together two extremely well-structured, highly desirable and fashion forward flagship ranges that embody great British style and design in every sense.”

Ms Abel added: “There is a carefully considered mix of eye shapes, sizes, materials and exciting finishes, and, of course, commercially focused merchandising tools.”

She concluded: “Sunglasses are undeniably a major and growing fashion accessory segment, so we have invested strongly in product combinations that complement the practice portfolio perfectly for today’s consumer, who is looking for sunglasses that will work seamlessly with the fast pace of fashion.”

The Cocoa Mint Sunwear collection is a natural evolution in the brand’s distinctive style of “relaxed glamour.” The acetate and metal styles feature luxurious materials and stylish detailing in tonal palettes, which are designed to be flattering.

With inspiration drawn from the London, New York, Paris and Milan catwalks, the debut collection’s signature piece is the oversized style ‘CMS 2000.’ It features a high gloss eye front in black, brought to life via gold sides embossed with the Cocoa Mint branding.

The technically advanced Jensen Sunwear collection maintains the brand’s iconic “jet-set” feel. Designer led, the range has been created to drive men’s sunwear “forward in both style and fashion.”
Designed from the bridge outwards for wearer comfort, each piece utilises high quality Italian acetates. The new range includes rubberised fronts, as well as both matt and highly polished finishes.

The signature Jensen style ‘JNS 7000’ is a contemporary tri-laminate frame. In fashionable blue, the new styles feature a semi-transparent eye front, complemented by blue wood-effect sides and chevron pin details, and a highly polished red interior.
