Sunglasses giant will become official supplier of the ATP World Tour

Maui Jim partners with ATP tennis tour
Sunglasses brand Maui Jim has been named ‘official eyewear’ partner for the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour.

The three-year agreement will see Maui Jim become an official supplier of the ATP World Tour, as well as the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at The O2 arena in London.

Martijn van Eerde, Maui Jim marketing director for Europe, said: “We are delighted to have joined forces with ATP as tennis is such a great fit for Maui Jim. For us this is a milestone, an expansion of Maui Jim’s tennis program and our involvement with the tennis community.”

Maui Jim claims that all of its sunglasses ‘cut 100% of harmful UV rays’ as well as ‘99.9% of glare from above, below and behind each lens.’

The manufacturer’s new PolarizedPlus2 lenses are reported to increase definition and depth perception, with four different lens materials and in four different lens colours to enhance vision in varying light conditions.

Commercial director of the ATP World Tour, Laurent Delanney, said: “With 46 of our 62 tournaments played outdoors, the partnership will provide our ATP World Tour officials with helpful equipment to perform their duty at the highest level.”
