Windsor-based Keeler welcomed 15 public health students to its headquarters for a hands-on training session of key eye care instruments.
The students, who are all enrolled on the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine's MSc in Public Health for Eye Care, learned about both device care and maintenance of the company's ophthalmoscopes, non-contact and applanation tonometers, as well as desktop and portable slit lamps.
The newly-acquired skills will provide students with the knowledge required to perform field projects on eye care.
Keeler marketing manager, Laura Haverley, said: "The aims of the MSc course are to provide eye health professionals with the skills and knowledge to reduce blindness and visual disability around the world. We at Keeler are extremely happy to contribute to their knowledge in any way we can to help achieve the goal."
