Optometry Today (OT), in partnership with the AOP with Specsavers as headline sponsor are pleased deliver our first OCT Day event.

Join us for a day of online education dedicated to OCT and widefield retinal imaging. Each session will be delivered by an expert on a range of key topics of value to practitioners who are yet to invest, those just starting out, as well as clinicians already experienced in using these enhanced diagnostic technologies.

Webinar: New technology - new pathology: multi-modal imaging as an enhancement to standard retinal examinations

As optometrists continue to invest in diagnostic technology such as OCT and ultra-widefield retinal imaging, many embark on a natural steep learning curve as they get to grips with new imaging techniques. It is understandable that even skilled practitioners can find new technology daunting and the aim of this webinar is to demonstrate the benefits of multi-modal imaging and the enhanced diagnostic capabilities this technology brings, instilling an enhanced level of confidence in the practitioner as a result.

Case studies will focus on the key features of common ocular pathologies to help optometrists make an accurate diagnosis using OCT, ultra-widefield colour, ultra-widefield autofluorescence imaging and associated diagnostic software. The diagnosis and management of cases of common ocular disease will be presented.

Learning outcomes

  • Practitioners will be able to explain the outcomes of multi-modal imaging with patients
  • Practitioners will recognise the role of multi-modal imaging in enhancing patient care through improved diagnostic capability
