Clinical interest in myopia continues to grow with an increasing range of options available to manage its progression and help mitigate for the risks associated with the condition.

This event offers a full day of education delivered by experts from around the world offering key insights on the evidence-based management of myopia in clinical practice.

Globally childhood myopia is on the increase. Eye care practitioners are the first point of contact for many parents and patients when learning about myopia and the benefits to long-term ocular health that may come about from a myopia management intervention. Compliance is a key part of success in any myopia management therapy. This presentation will show how improving and continued compliance in myopia management aligns with compliance in dentistry. The presentation will also discuss cases of non-compliance and how technology and improved communication improves compliance.

Learning outcomes

  • Communicate the importance of compliant wear to maximise success to parents and patients
  • Understand and apply specific recommendations to improve adherence to a prescribed myopia management regimen and encourage through correct follow up protocols
